We believe in the power of wind.
As early as the 7th century, windmills were used for grinding grain, pumping water and other industrial purposes. By 1900 ACE more than 6 million windmills were in use for irrigation across North America. The first commercial scale operations for electricity generation were built in Denmark in the 1920s.
Wind power is a clean, reliable source of power in more than 70 countries and is a low-cost option for generating energy that delivers substantial benefits in terms of jobs, investment and rural economic development.
There is an ever-growing need for renewable energy worldwide. Reasons include rising and unpredictable utility costs, diminishing petroleum and water resources, global warming, cap and trade legislation, deregulation of electric companies, hydraulic fracturing for natural gas that is polluting our ground water resources, reduction of petroleum subsidies--due to austerity measures, nuclear power falling out of favor and more than 1.6B people worldwide without access to electricity.
At Venger Wind, we see wind power as an awesome opportunity to create a clean future and a huge contributor to our quality of life.
